Jharkhand Silk Textile and Handicraft Development Corporation Limited(Jharcraft)is planning to enter into overseas market through its new outlets in the US and the UK.
In a telephonic conversation with fibre2fashion,Mr.Dhirendra Kumar,Managing Director of Jharcraft,said,"We have two-three offers for opening outlets in different countries like the UK and the US."
"A buyer from the US has shown interest to set up an emporium near New York and we are associating with a UK buyer to start an outlet in the UK,"he adds.
Talking about a new product of Jharcraft,Mr.Kumar says,"We are planning to introduce silk carpets in the market soon.We have just developed a sample and probably after a month we will introduce it in the market."
"Earlier,we use to supply raw materials for making silk carpets to a buyer in Varanasi who exports silk carpets to the US,"he continues.
Sharing his experience at the India International Trade Fair 2012(IITF),he informs,"Jharcraft was among the best five stalls at IITF and we have got some new buyers from Hong Kong and Denmark."
"There were some buyers from Argentina who visited our stall.They have shown interest in buying our products and they have taken some sample products,"he reveals.
Mr.Kumar adds,"This time in addition to our silk products,we introduced woolen jackets at IITF and it was a big hit."
