Germany-based Herma is applying its recently launched multi-layered adhesive, 62Gpt, on Herma PP 50 transparent films, paving the way for no-label look for food packaging, but holding firmly with the packaging.
The company claims that the 62Gpt adhesive is part of HERMAperfectTack range and offers initial tack even in difficult conditions.
Herma is applying the adhesive with the help of a special surface treatment that delivers good print quality with all the conventional printing techniques.
The adhesive and the surface treatment together offer glossy labels.
According to trials conducted by the German test institute ISEGA, the 62Gpt adhesive is suitable for direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs.
The adhesives can be used in wide number of applications in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, toiletries and personal hygiene product containers.
The adhesive also offers compelling processing properties to the users.
